WOOLLEN YARNS – SYDNEY AND THE WOOL TRADE

Staged to coincide with History Week 2012 and Sydney is Fashion, Woollen Yarns – Sydney and the Wool Trade connects visitors with a bygone, industrial Sydney; a time when the city was the mercantile hub for wool processing, storage, textile manufacture and export – and Australia 'rode on the sheep's back'.

Located in Customs House, a centre-piece to the story of Australia's wool trade, the exhibition makes practical and creative use of existing display furniture, cabinets and suspended illuminated wall panels.

The exhibition was complemented by a brochure, invitation and launch event direct marketing.
