Annual reports for Macquarie Real Estate's stable of trusts, provided the perfect opportunity to raise the profile of, and demystify listed property trusts in the eyes of non-institutional investors.

We developed a positioning for the various trusts, spanning: commercial, industrial, Australian grocery-anchored retail, leisure facilities and US-based retail centres. Leveraged from the concept of investing in living, active, income-producing assets, the positioning, 'Invest where you work', 'Invest where you shop', 'Invest where you play' and 'Invest Directly', was launched.

Over three years, from 2005 to 2007, printed annual reports were produced for multiple trusts simultaneously in A4, with complementary half year reports in A5. Online versions were posted, with a view to reducing print expenditure over time through a transition to the medium.
